Hello!

I have tried many different types of Toilet cleaners I used to buy Duck or Harpic but I am finding that they are way too expensive now to buy has anyone tried any other brands that actually work and are a reasonable price range

  • I have used the Coles home brand toilet cleaner and found it to be effective.

  • I usually scrub my toilet with soap powder and Dettol. But I’ve read where you can put washing powder in the tank and it’ll help clean too. Otherwise, I’d use bicarbonate and vinegar or peroxide and bicarbonate.

  • I always buy toilet cleaner half price, as full price is pretty crazy these days. I find one of the big stores will have a brand on sale each week. The stores own brands are decent, too.

  • Yep, I agree with the other comments. If your toilet is really bad then try Bunnings. When we first moved into our house there was staining at the bottom of our toilet that no product or scrubbing would remove. I’m talking for around a year! I never wanted guests to use our bathroom! Then after researching I found I strong cleaner at Bunnings which from memory could even clean bricks. If you are just after cheap then Aldi is good

  • I just use the Strike home brand of Woolworths. We’re renting our house and initially the toilets were rather brown from previous residents. I just started cleaning the toilets daily and they are now nice sparkly and white and no more brown stains. So the cheaper home brands work good enough for me

  • Depends how bad your toilet is to begin with and whether youre wanting a product just for everyday clean or to lift stains, i would suggest visiting bunnings! They have some amazing products there that do wonders for bathrooms and makes cleaning easier. There’s industrial strength etc as well that are stronger.
