Translating the name William to a girls name?

Hello!

Hi
i was wondering if i can get some help with a name.

My husband and i are thinking about having another child and if we do we want to keep a name going.
my G grandad, pop and dad all had the name WILLIAM. it would of stopped withme but i ended up marrying a William lol.

so to keep that name going we want to call our next kid William But are un sure on how to translate it into a girls name just in case.
please help

Maybe Willa? I think it’s really short for Wilhemena. I’ve known some girls named Billie.

You could try turning William around – Mila, Miall, Milli

You could name your daughter William and call her Billie.
You could also use it as a middle name.
Or even change it altogether to something similar like Willow.

A nickname for William is Bill or Billy, so perhaps Billie for a girl? Or Willow, Willa, Wilma, Wilda, Willamette, Willemina, and Wilhelmina. Apparently there are many girls called William so you could always use that, be unique!

Willamina is a direct translation to girls name. A nick name could be Winny or Minny?
Or you could go for something unrelated like Willow.

Willow is lovely. Why not be one of those parents that happily call their daughter by a male name. William Cindy Diane or something like, you get my gist. Or even use William as a middle name.
