  • A 3-week round trip with a 7-month-old sounds like an exciting adventure! Here are a few recommendations to make the journey smoother:

Frequent Breaks: Plan regular stops (every 2-3 hours) for feedings, diaper changes, and short naps.
Comfortable Seating: Ensure your baby has a comfy seat or travel cot for naps during the journey.
Packing Essentials: Bring enough diapers, wipes, baby clothes, formula (if needed), baby food, and bottles for the entire trip.
Car Entertainment: Use soft toys, soothing music, or baby-friendly videos to keep your little one entertained.

  • Lots of snacks, airfoil and sticky tape for the windows if used to darkness.

  • Pretty much, anything can be done with the correct preparation. Good luck

  • At 7 months old travelling in the car shouldn’t be that difficult. Just make sure you have supplies and changes of clothes for bubs easily accessible for your journeys,

  • Plenty of snacks, buy new toys for the car only so they are not sick of them, stop every two hours.

  • We always plan our trips with regular stops and try and start our travel off at nap time. Lots of stimulation after lunch which will help with any afternoon naps during travel

  • Lots of stops in the fresh air, picnic rug and let him/her stretch out and move around. Fun music and toys.

  • Thermist to make warm formula bottles if bub is on formula. Baby Wipes a must!

  • A lot of stops. Toys. Favourite foods or purées. It’s hard with a 7 months old.

  • Also it is a good idea to stay at family friendly places along the way that have facilities for washing and cleaning and taking care of any hygiene needs.

  • Yes plenty of breaks and make sure you have distractive toys connected to the car seat. Whilst one adult drives, the other adult may want to sit beside baby

  • Always be well prepared and organised for every possibility. Always take breaks and stay well nourished and hydrated. Always have a plan and adhere to it and lists really do help!

  • Take your time and have lots of rest break not just for your little one but also for you. I personally don’t like driving in the big cities as it’s harder to pull over for a quick pit stop.
