Hello!

Does anyone know how to wash Uggboots? My children have dropped food, milk etc on them and I desperately want to clean them.

  • I’d suggest a gentle hand wash with a wool detergent. Give them a quick spin and then put in the dryer on warm not hot.

  • I would spot clean them with sard

  • Don’t put them in the wash like I did… they shrink! I have ruined two pairs by doing so.

  • For the outside of mine I’ve used baby wipes as they don’t get too damp but the wipes picks up dirty. For inside I sprinkle bicarb soda in – shake it about and let is sit for a while. Tap majority out and use vacuum for the rest

  • I’m going to give mine a go in the washing machine ???? hopefully it refluffs the fur a bit!

  • I usally wipe them down with alcohol wipes such as dettol

  • Back in the seventies if I had any stains on my boots. I’d mix vinegar and warm water and use an old toothbrush to scrub lightly at the stain. Then let them dry normally. Don’t use a lot of Vinegar though. 1/4 to 3/4 cup warm water.

  • Before you wear ugg boots you spray them with a waterproof spray, then you can just use warm water with wool wash and sponge clean them.

  • Great question, one I’d like to know too

  • Have you checked the manufacturer’s website? This surely can’t be a unique problem. They might have washing instructions.

  • Use cold water and white vinegar.

  • Also; I stuff the ugg boots with newspaper before cleaning them with a moist cloth. The newspaper keeps the shape of the ugg boots. My ugg boots with a gentle approach to cleaning look brilliant.

  • For those that have washed in the washing machine, do you use cold or warm water? Thanks!

  • After years of wearing I threw mine in the washing machine too. Not only did they get nice and clean, the fur kind of got revived after washing 🙂

  • I have always put mine in the washing machine on the normal cycle than dry in the sun or inside, they have never lost shape or size.

  • You are supposed to get them dry cleaned, but Ive hand washed with wool mix and it was fine.
