Hello!

I am heading to Singapore and really wanted to go to Universal Studio’s however it is quite expensive and i am not sure if my 6 year old will enjoy it enough for the money it is going to cost. Has anyone taken their child of similar age and they have loved it or would you recommend i used this money to do a different activity?

  • It is always a good idea when planning a trip to search for any possible deals on tickets for attractions and sites. We always buy tickets to attractions ahead of time and save on special deals. It is also good to read plenty of reviews for attractions and sites from people with first hand experience of visiting attractions and sites.

  • Singapore is a terrific place to visit with plenty of wonderful place and sights to see. We have not been to this particular place; however there is always plenty to see at most theme parks. Rides can be fun at theme parks but there is always other shows and things to see at a theme park.

  • Do they usually enjoy amusement parks and rides? Sentosa island is such a wonderful place filled with many exciting things to do. As someone else mentioned, the zoo is a must. The cable car over makes the trip extra special. We loved the water park on Sentosa, fun things for everyone

  • The one thing that is nice and special about holidays is that you do things you normally not to and so you make more expenses you normally do not make. We ourself never went to Universal studio’s but from what I’ve heard is that kids love it. In the end of the day you have to make up your mind yourself if you’re willing to give it a try for that amount of money.

  • Really depends on your child. Do they get overwhelmed easily? My daughters are 5 and 7 and i know they would be in awe of everything and love it! But i can also see they will get so overwhelmed after a couple of hours with the crowds as it can be daunting. You could start small and take them around to other theme parks etc locally and see how they go first?

  • I went to Universal studios as a couples holiday with my hubby, but I think a 6yr old could enjoy it there quite easily. There were roving entertainers like people dressed up as transformers, a 4D moving movie experience (not sure if there was an age limit, but it might be okay), plus shows and other things to see. I don’t recall there being that many rides as such, but it has been a long time.
Another great experience is the zoo- it’s not to be missed! It’s the best zoo I’ve been to so far and I’ve been to a few international and Australian ones.
