My first was hard, I ended up getting an emergency c- section. It was so traumatic that with number 2 I opted for an elective c- section but that again was quite hard. He was not breathing.

My first was definitely the hardest. It’s just a good job we forget!
My second and third were much easier. I think it helps when you understand your body better.

I don’t know if easier, but shorter for sure!

With my 1st bub it was a scary time during the birth forcepts, suction cup and after became a big scare but we got through it, it took me 8 yrs to decide to have another bub and it was so completely different as with my 3rd only 2yrs later no issues or trouble unlike the 1st bub I sometimes wonder why was I so worried.

I’ve had three babies and each labour was different. I was getting ready to push my first when the midwife realised bubs was breech, so they had to stop everything and rush me to theatre.
With my second I had a vbac, things went much smoother that time but it felt like it went on forever. I pushed for an hour and a half but after the midwife explained which muscles to use, I got the hang of it and delivered my son.
With my third labour I went into it with a very positive mindset, I wanted to be in control of the labour and was determined to do it my way. From when my waters were broken to when I delivered him it was less than 3 hours and he was by far the easier labour out of my three. His labour left me with positive memories of it.

I had an episiotomy and forceps delivery with my first. I had my second 10 weeks ago and didn’t need forceps (still needed an episiotomy).
The whole process was a lot less stressful this time around too because I knew what to expect and I had been through it all before, so I knew I could do it again.

In my experience, yes, I knew what there was in store for me, which made it easier. My first was scary and I was frightened. Thank God it was over!

My first was an undiagnosed breech birth so there was a little bit of help needed during delivery, not a lot. My 2nd was all natural, not even pain relief (too far along by the time I got to hospital) So I dont think one was easier then the other, pretty equal

I had a traumatic first birth, and my second was so much better. Each birth is different, but I think its also good to prepare for the best situation, go in with a positive outlook.

Much quicker for sure, and have heard that is usually the case. Easier as well but I don’t think there is a rule on that..

My first was super traumatic also! Ended up having an emergency c- section as the doctor was yelling at me, saying I wasn’t pushing properly. Um hello?! I’d never done this before!!!
Second one I opted for an elective c- section as I didn’t want to go through the same thing again.
Fingers crossed for you that the second time around is much better.

I had Caesar for both 1st no issues second they cut a superficial nerve I had chronic incision site pain and ended up on endone and antibiotics.

Each time is different. I think u just need to stay positive about it.

Yep second was much easier! And the third was in between; not as hard as first not as easy as second!

My first was also an assisted delivery – something they called a “kiwi” I gather it is similar to forceps. I also had an episiotomy and then stitches which healed badly and had to be repaired (painfully).
My second was induced, but still 2 hours quicker than my first. No tearing, cutting or stitches required. Bub wasn’t well when born, but the birth itself was so so much easier and quicker to recover from.
My third was also quicker and no tearing etc again.

My advice is talk to your doctor/midwife/medical team about your concerns because of your first birth experience and let them help you to be more at ease with your second. Nothing is guaranteed that it will be easier, but I certainly believe that having good supportive help around you will help you feel better this time around.

First baby- 40hrs from 1st contraction, 6hrs active labour, issues trying to attach monitor to baby, had epidural due to exhaustion, prepped for c-section after pushing for 2hrs but ended up forceps delivery luckily
2nd baby – 13hrs from 1st contaction, 1hr active labour, baby was born at home by ambulance without any drugs which was not planned just happened so quick once active labour started.

Mine sure was. It was half the time and no tear! You got this girl!!

I personally feel my second was easier than the first one. I think because you already know what the pain look like and how things can happen.

I’ve only had one so I can’t say if it would be easier or not, but I really recommend looking into hypnobirthing!! If you haven’t heard of it before it’s not as hippy or hocus pocus as you might think! It’s not hypnosis it’s more mindfulness and learning about birth and what the body does. It’s great to relax and help the process happen!!
