My son wanted his ears pierced when he was 4 because I had them. He got one done and didn’t want the second. He pulled it out after a few weeks. When he was 8 he wanted to try again, but after playing sport he couldn’t be bothered taking them out and putting back in every time so he just took them out.

We got our bubs done at 6 months. She literally cried for 3 seconds then stopped.
I got mine done at the hospital when I was born so don’t remember.

I waited until they were at least 5 and then explained what was going to happen and that it does hurt a bit. One decided to wait another year.

I don’t think there is such thing as the right age to pierce a child ears, that is based on personal opinion and entirely up to yourself. Just do what you think is right for your child.

Only when they are teenagers and they can make the choice for themselves – that is just personal choice.
