We use ABC Reading eggs! It mixes games with education. My son LOVES it and sees it as a rewards while it has taught him how to read before he starts school next year!

These have been a winner with my preschooler when she gets tablet time…

Language learning perhaps. Don’t know any specific apps but this is possibly one thing that technology can help with (unless you are multi-lingual yourself in which case just play and hang out together using the foreign language). Otherwise I tend to agree that kids need to learn in ‘old fashioned’ ways. Screen time (and yes ‘learning’ on a computer/phone counts) can actually change the way the brain develops. I’ve never found Minecraft very good; a chat group connected with it actually introduced some kids I know to porn… the woes of technology. Stay safe.

If he loves lego etc why are you looking for apps? Its quite an achievement having a child who will play with real toys instead of being glued to a screen all day. You should be very proud. Just keep encouraging him to build and use his imagination the way he has been.
