Hello!

I want to buy my daughter a nintendo switch 2 for Christmas but there are so many games out there. What ones have you had and think are worth spending the money one. I am looking for ones that i can play with her, she can play by herself and with friends who come over. I don’t know enough about Nintendo’s to really know what is good and what is not and would like to hear what other mums think.

  • The best ones that I have found that my kids have loved from the get go are Mario Kart and Mario Party. Mario Party has lots of fun party games on it that keep kids entertained for hours. They are both multi-player games too. Both my kids also love Animal Crossing and they can connect with their friends remotely with that one.

  • It might be a very good time of the year with Christmas so close, to find some specials and good prices for games for Christmas. There seem to be a wealth of catalogues and specials landing at the moment and it helps to research all of them before making a purchase.

  • It is so very important when considering purchasing any games to go with age appropriate games and to research them prior to any purchase. There are always a wealth of reviews on games by various ages. I agree with getting games that can be played together for some family fun.

  • I also need a game.

  • Barbie Project Friendship is good if your daughter likes Barbie or Little Kitty, Big City is a good option for young children or beginners or as the other mother’s said Super Mario Bros. Wonder. If I had to pick I would recommend Yoshi’s Crafted World as it is the easiest to start and very friendly, then Super Mario Bros. Wonder which is slightly more advanced but lots of fun and shares well for family plan and then Little Kitty, Big City or Bluey for more gentle play or if reading/controls are still an issue.

  • Yes I second “Mario Kart World”; it’s easy to access and fun to play with multiple players. ” Kirby and The Forgotten Land” is also fun for younger kids and the fact that it is 3D is appealing. Adventure/simulation games are also heaps of fun like Animal Crossing, New Horizons, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

  • Mario games are very fun, and there are versions where you can play with up to four people on your tv. We bust out Mario party frequently. There’s also Lego party that can play up to 4 people. We also have the classics like Spyro Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot. So many fun options
