Maybe start by visiting your gp for a blood test and find out if you’re lacking anything first and go from there. Usually, if you follow a healthy diet, you and baby will be just fine

I took Elevit to start with but it was making my morning sickness worse, my doctor recommended I change to Blackmores Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Multivitamin and that helped. Much cheaper too 🙂

my doc had recommended me to take elevit and that is what i always use.

With my first pregnancy I bought A multi vitamin with Folic acid then for my 2nd i bought Elevit which was $60 started feeling very sick on it, then realised many other women had been as well. It use to be made in Germany but then my packet said made in indonesia which they dont have the same standards there. So now i switched.

I’ve been using Elevit, many people recommended that to me.

My doctor does not recommend any supplements, as a balanced diet should be enough, but he is still happy for me to take a multi. I use Blackmores as I find it is gentler on my tummy than others.

Folic acid was the only supplement my doctor prescribed me. It’s actually something we should start supplementing the moment we decide we want to become pregnant. To take before and during the pregnancy thus.

When I was pregnant with my two children , the doctors never suggested recommended vitamins . They always mentioned eat a balanced diet ( from the 5 food groups that you learnt from school ) , drink plenty of water and stay away from raw meat . Drinking a good amount of milk and also dairy products boosts calcium intakes as well. I would discuss this with the doctor who is looking after you as it is best to eat naturally unless they advise you further. Good luck with your future family .

As long as your on Folic Tablets your right, that’s all I took and my doctor said that’s all I needed. But you can take pregnancy vitamins but be aware some can make you feel sick.
