Hello!

What are your thoughts on co-sleeping for even little daytime naps given the documented risks?

  • Both our kids có slept with us.
I had an emergency c-section with my first so we slept on the couch the first week as it was hard for me to get on and off our bed which was high so I pretty much slept with my bub in my arms.
I’m a light and conscious sleeper so maybe that would have helped?

  • I really think it’s best to avoid it; the consequences are so severe.

  • I loved it and think there are many benefits.

  • There were a couple of times when I did place my baby in bed with me and she soon settled down and went to sleep. After an hour or so I’d place her back in her cot.

  • I love it and I think that the benefits are so great!

  • Was absolutely against it but nkw have a 2yr old in my bed…every night! She’s old enough to not get under the blanket and suffocate. I wouldn’t recommend it for a young bub (and would like my toddler to be in her own bed but whatever gets her to sleep!!)

  • Co Sleeping is safe unless you or your partner are under the effects of drugs or alcohol. It is the normal thing for babies to sleep with their parents and holds very little risk, cot deaths on the other hand happen in cots,

  • I think it is up to the individual and what works for the family.but I loved having a co sleep and cuddle with my youngest.

  • Go for it we have been doing it for years. We have so much stress as parents. Enjoy your baby just don’t do it you been drinking or taking drugs

  • i personally think there is nothing wrong with it even though the nurses said otherwise.

  • My daughter co sleeps miss four is in her bed and will not go in her own bed no way screams the house down .
So bad she only sleeps also between nanny and poppy .. No day sleep and less someone lays down next to her.. Oh and do not think you can put her to sleep then move her no no. Theses eyes fly open.. She looks like a little sweet heart. …

  • I did and still do with my second. She usually comes into bed with me when she wakes around 4am. she’ll feed and then go back to sleep until 7am. I find I don’t sleep fully but just doze and am very aware of her being there. We definitely are both better rested than if I had to keep getting up and down lots of times. It’s also good when she’s sick. At the end of the day you do what you have to to get through a stage and what it right for your family.

  • Never did with my first. Couldn’t help it with my second…he was soooo cuddly. Got so much sleep, it was great!

I had a way of positioning the bed and him to make sure I knew he was there (i.e.: he slept in the nook of my left arm, and I kept my right arm above my head). Every now and then I’d wake up in a bad position and think “Geez that was close!”, but nothing ever happened and now he’s a well-adjusted one year old sleeping in his cot :-)

  • didn’t with my first but my second is a bad sleeper, I usually bring him into my bed after 5.30 am. he is 7 months now
im a light sleeper and I have to keep my arm on him so he doesnt roll. I think its ok
