  • I find it hard to recommend books because books I really enjoy, others have not. I also dislike seeing *best seller* on basically every book. Perhaps do a search on social media to see what books are on offer – people usually post photos so you can see more than just the title to decide.

  • any by Kathy Kelly she is my Favourite. Also read Love Your Sister it is AMAZING by Samual Johnson

  • I just finished The Natural Way of Things by Charlotte Wood. I loved it. It did have some holes in the plot, but the writing style was so easy and absorbing.

  • I like a wide range of authors:
easy reading/comedy: Sophie Kinesella, Milly Johnson
thrillers: Kathy Reichs, Joy Ellis, Nikki French, Michael Robotham, etc
    Also Jodi Piccoult
There are some interesting biographies and memoirs too.

  • I still really like the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night. Great perspective of an autistic child.

  • Just finishing Shuggie Bain. Love it.

If you like non-fiction, read We Can’t Say we Didn’t Know by Sophie McNiell. It documents the stories of people she met while ABC correspondent in the Middle East. Important read.

  • Anything by Margaret Attwood is great! The Handmaids Tale is great, as is the sequel – The Testaments. I like The Year of the Flood too!

  • I just read The Secrets of Strangers by Charity Norman. Really good book.

  • Jane Harper is great for crime novels.
Eleanor Oliphant by Gail Honeymoon is a great easy page turner, also I like boy swallows universe by Trent dalton.

  • Atomic Habits by James Clear and Limitless by Jim Kwik are my current self development favourites
Bryce Courtenay is a brilliant author, Sarah J Maas is great – currently reading her Throne of Glass series and it’s amazing but also enjoy her other books.
Naomi Novik is another good author, Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton was interesting!
    I could go on : )

  • Sharyn McCrumb, Alafair Burke, and Carol O’Connell are some of my favorite authors. Jane Harper, Ben Aaronovitch, and Jim Butcher are also great.

  • I’m not a huge reader myself but my daughter and mother in law love the Harry Potter series if your into that kind of thing.

  • Thank you for the tip mom19782016! I searched this author and his works sounds like books I would enjoy reading. I have seen some of the movie versions and loved them.

  • I really like Neil Gaiman – he has a large range of genres but he is an excellent writer
