We drive a Captiva 7 seater, it also has enough space for pram, groceries and so forth

We drive a Renault, 3 rows of seats, 7 seats. Drives lovely ! Before this one we drive a Kia Carnival., good enough at that time. Now I prefer the one we drive.

We’ve got an older Toyota Landcruiser wagon, 6 seater. Two rows of seats but a full boot. You can buy a third row to make it an 8 seater.
Also have a Nissan Patrol, 7 seater. Three rows of seats. Love it.
We went for a 4×4 because of the towing power and we live in the bush, lots of highway driving.

It does depend on the ages of the children. Most medium to large size cars should fit your family comfortably.

4WD are good although they have a negative rep around some mum circles, they fit a lot in and it’s easier to get the kids in and out of the car without breaking your back.

If you have 3 children in babyseats a friend of ours had a Commodore which would now be classed as an old model, 3 seats just fitted but were basically touching.
A Ford Territory is not economical as far as fuel is concerned. A family I know switched to a Mazda wagon of some description (it may have been 4WD). It was very economical, you got a better ride, the airconditioning was far more efficient, very roomy. You need the extra leg room for your kids if htye are likely to be tall.

falcon or commodore for the larger sedan. you could get a suv. go for what you like

I drive a Prado. I have one in the back of the car, and the other 2 are in the middle on either side. If I need to, I can have all 3 in the middle, but I enjoy the peace having them seperated

My dad had 4 of us and we used to have to sit in his big blue stationwagon . These days there are so many cars available and I have seen parents drive their Tarago or Vans with their kids. You need to have at least a 5-6 seater and it is best to do research before going into these car dealers so that you are aware what you are buying . Otherwise it is a very overwhelming experience especially when you have to talk to a sales person who might try to sell you a car that is not suitable for you .Good luck .

Nas01 is so correct, Mazdas are great for lots of kids.

I have four kids under 6 and have four car seats. I drive a Mazda CX-9 and love it. Very spacious abd fits all seats comfortably.

When we had number 3 we had a Nissan X-trail it was pretty tight in the back seat, we then bought a Ford Territory 5 seater and it’s so roomy in the back plus the boot is massive. Next year we have to upgrade as we have number 4 on the way so I’ve been researching 7 seaters that have at least some decent boot size when all 7 seats are up and have choosen to buy the Nissan Pathfinder (we would have gone for another Ford Terrritory but they don’t have a/c vents in the third row seats).

I hav three kids under 7, we drive a kia carnival, we love all the extra room inside. It would also be great for up to 5 to 6 kids. But with three going on holidays etc are a breeze. There is plenty of room with the back sets folded down. You can pack everything you would ever need including all the kids bikes etc… We did plan on more kids but now its turned into my kids and their friends all fitting into the car safely
