Hello!

What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you end up being what you wanted to be? I wanted to be a nurse or a teacher and ended up being a Medical Receptionist.

  • I wanted to be a writer, but I’m a book reviewer. Which I’m much better at.

  • I always wanted to be childcare worker in a pre school but that never happened I became a Receptionist for a Vet which I absolutely loved

  • I wanted to be a social worker or welfare officer. I’m kinda glad I didn’t go down that road though. I’m too soft and would be sucked in by all the sob stories

  • i wanted to be a doctor until i saw my sister get a cut so then not so much lol. i became a hairdresser.

  • My daughter wants to be a palaeontologist and I wonder what she will be in 15 years time…

  • I wanted to be a social worker/welfare officer in a prison. I studied for it, became a mum instead

  • Did want to be an airline hostess/flight attendant but never had the figure for such a position. lol.
Have worked in an office, am a mum, and now have an awesome job a mum that is in retirement.

  • I always said I wanted to be a pre-school teacher. When I finished High School I went straight back to study my Diploma, absolutely hated it (my prac was HORRIBLE!).
Since then I’ve been- Waitress and Barista, and a Property Manager.
Now I’m a SAHM, wondering what I should do next! Thinking about studying, but don’t know what yet.

  • my mum said I used to always play schools and wanted to be a teacher – I did want to be a dancer but at 5 foot tall and limited flexibility that went out the window during the teenage years. I am now studying by distance to become a teacher

  • It is never to late to become what you wanted! 🙂

  • I wanted to be a nurse like my mother. I did everything I was suppose to to make it happened but never took in consideration that not having a sense of smell would be a problem. So young and innocent of things. SAHM now who sells craft items to others.

  • I wanted to be many things, it changed depending on the age. Still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up? 😉

  • I wanted to be a Vet. I’m now a stay at home mum, but prior to that worked as a Paralegal and am currently studying Human Resources

  • I wanted to be a musician, but never made it do to the fact of not enough support. Am now a SAHM studying a Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

  • I wanted to be a mum! And it happened! 🙂

  • I wanted to be a dental assistant which required leaving in Year 10, but my parents wanted me to go to Year 12. I never did enjoy those last two years of school and every time I go to the dentist and watch the assistants I always wonder “what if?”.
