What do kids need for a road trip?

Hello!

Will be going on holidays in January.
Only traveling 3 hours there and 3 hours back but you know how kids can be!
Things for them to do in the car? (trying to avoid ipads!)
I’ve bought those back-of-the-seat hanger thingys that hang on the back of the drivers/passengers seat, that i can store some fun stuff in. Any activities to stop the boredom?
Boys aged 6 and 8 🙂

Audiobooks – either borrow them from the library or download free via the Borrowbox app. Absolute life savers ! The kids have to be quiet to here the story. We totally recommend any of the Andy Griffiths books -ie; Just Crazy, Just Shocking etc. Any of the Aussie Bites series or Aussie Nibbles – All read brilliantly by Stig Weymss. Have fun and travel safe 🙂

Books and comics would come in handy or having a sing-a-long in the car is great fun!

Books, educational toys, perhaps play I-spy for a short while.

Colouring books or activity books are a good option. Perhaps get them to draw a picture of something they see along the way.
