Hello!

What do people give as treats for Halloween? Do you give a mix of healthy foods and treat foods?

  • I give treats but last year I included a book. This year I think I’ll do slime or small toys.

  • Nothing, we don’t celebrate Halloween 😉

  • A friend of mine had this in her street and just gave them normal lollies and chocolates . I don’t think they like healthy food at kids ages .

  • people don’t really do this here. but you can also have the option of popcorn. a little bag of popcorn

  • We had 2 options for the kids to choose from – one cauldron filled with green cornflour “goop” (cornflour and water mixed together) and plastic frogs and pipe cleaners (they felt like worms). The other had the usual lollies. Quite a few kids refused to touch the goop – other stuck their hands in and loved it – a green goopy hand added to their costume! (we had a bucket of water and towels for anyone who wanted to clean up too).

  • I normally give our Freddo Frogs and Caramellos

  • Do you think kids would go for healthier alternatives? I would like to offer treats that are not all sugary – but will it work?

  • I give wrapped chocolates, lollypops, sweets and would like to give some healthier options too. Any suggestions would be welcome.

  • I generally give small chocolate treats.

  • I don’t really believe in Halloween, so I’m a bit of a Scrooge and don’t give anything. It’s not big in my area anyway.
