I think it depends on how tired you are. I used this time to do some cleaning /tidying up, and some relaxation time. I also tried to get sleep in case mine woke early.
I have a 3.5yr old and a 4 month old. When my 3.5yr old goes to bed, my baby is still awake and usually doesn’t settle until about 10, so honestly these days I just go to bed to sleep. While this baby is an awesome sleeper compared to my first, I still never know if I’m going to wake once or several times before my 3.5yr old gets me out of bed at 6:30am.
But before bub was born, I’d do a quick tidy, netflix & chill with hubby, and shower in peace before heading to bed.
Anything to wind down – a glass of wine, couch, tv or movie, computer surfing… Just relax as much as possible if everything else is done. I always find something around the house that needs to be done however…
Watch my favourite show winners and losers, maybe read some of my book and shower before bed but if I have some left over energy I wash up or some other housework that needs doing.
I finish chores (dishes, washing bottles, put washing in dryer), once they’re done I do something for myself like reading, facebook, watch my fave tv show, paint my nails & of course eat a bit of chocolate
I usually do a quick “sweep” of the house and take things out of the living area that aren’t meant to be there, put the kettle, make a nice green tea or pour a nice white wine – sit on my butt and watch TV that I want to watch!
