Hello!

A lot of recipes I cook only require the egg yolk so I have two containers full of egg whites in the freezer.
I’m not really a fan of meringues or pav so that rules out two of the main things people use them for and egg white omelettes are a bit hard to stomach so any other suggestions would be good.

  • Bacon and egg muffins in puff pastry.


  • Make mini meringues and put them in a glass serving jar mixed with fresh Berries and cream throughout. So yum


  • We use them to brush onto puff pastry when you want to golden them up. You can also use them for sponge cakes or tiramisu, or cream for pancakes.


  • I usually use the egg whites for brushing pastries or to make meringue and other sponge cakes that call for lots of egg whites


  • Make meringue. Search Pinterest for ideas to use egg whites; there are tons.


  • I love to make an omelette with the left over egg whites by simply adding a full egg, onions, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, spinach and some capsicum all chopped up. You place it in the microwave for 3.5 minutes and it’s ready.


  • I make egg white omelets which are super high in protein and great for those days I don’t really want to cook, but add an egg to them, so there is still some yolks and flavour and add a whole bunch of exciting ingredients in there.
    I also can make macaroons or meringues. normally its just sugar, egg whites, and some vanilla. Whip it up until sugar dissolves and then bake in a low oven for a couple of hours. I am not sure why you aren’t a fan, if it because they are too sweet, don’t put as much sugar in? hope this helps.

  • Hmm… you could whip them up and fold them into a ricotta pancake recipe? They make them light and fluffy.


  • You could make meringues.


  • I usually just add them to any soup like a nido soup or any knorr soup. I think bread pudding uses only egg whites too.

  • You could make some kind of zuchinni slice, or quiche. I’d still add a couple of whole eggs into the mix. Maybe even a carbonara.


  • I can’t think of anything that hasn’t already been suggested unfortunately. Maybe there are recipes on google.


  • I feed egg whites to my dogs if I’m not going to cook anything else with them straight away and they love them, its a good source of protein for them.


  • You could try adding them to a smoothie to increase the protein


  • Add some to scrambled eggs – use a couple of full eggs plus extra whites.


  • a quick google search will give you plenty of great idea! There are alot of things you could make 🙂


  • There’s some great suggestions here or if you dont want to use them for cooking they make a great face mask too.
