Hello!

I couldn’t stand the smell of red onions, garlic and olive oil. Thankfully my taste buds returned to normal.

What foods turned your stomach in pregnancy?

  • Ha !! I never had any morning sickness or any real weird cravings at all through my pregnancy – my theory is that I can eat my way through anything, lol. The only thing I could say is that with my first pregnancy and for a while afterwards, I couldn’t stand eating broccoli. I’m still not a huge fan of it now even after almost 7 years, lol.

  • I too didn’t have a problem with the smell of red meat but l couldn’t eat it at all. It physically made me sick. It was a long time before l could eat it again. I also had difficulty having any dairy as it always left a “tinny” aftertaste.

  • Onion, garlic, Mexican, Indian… anything with strong flavours or smells made me want to gag oh and coffee

  • Almost everything!

  • Ginger, I still can’t handle it. Also the handwash we used to use, I had to change it as I couldn’t and still can’t stand the smell of it as it reminds me when I was sick.

  • Garlic was intolerable to me during my pregnancy with my daughter, the smell was enough to make me sick.My daughter is allergic to garlic.Still now my like for garlic has not returned. But before pregnancy I ate garlic every day.

  • Mince – especially cooking it – with all 3 of my children and the smell of meaty dog biscuits – yuck!

  • I was unusual. I had no problems with the smell of red meat but I couldn’t eat it. It didn’t just turn my stomach it made me vomit
