Hello!

My sister is expecting her second little bubba next month and so she already has a lot of the big items ready. I want to put together a few gifts such as: Newborn wondersuits, bibs, maybe a new nappy bag, pampery stuff for mumma like face masks, body scrub etc…Is there something super useful for mums at this time that will make her life so much easier?

  • Food! So much food! Don’t really need any of the nick nack stuff the second time. We did love anything personalized after bubs was born so they did have some of their own stuff

  • Nappies and wipes will be something of high importance for ages. Whilst boring, they’re actually more useful than many other things you can gift.

  • I buy my friends who are having their second something they’ll need for themselves like coffee sachets and chocolate, then a book for the siblings to read together as they grow up, and a cute outfit for the baby.

  • Nappies and nursing pads…..tnats what normally give for a second child as people normally have all the other stuff already.

  • I love baby hampers too with gifts for all family members. Baby’s first photo album and a plaster set for foot & hand prints is always nice too.

  • I received a large box of nappies, and loved it because it was so useful.

  • A hamper! I loved receiving a hamper! Very practical baby items and you can even reuse the tub/basket it came in.

  • How old is the first child? Is he/she large enough to go into a Booster Seat? Placed in that situation and Mum still having everything from child number 1, we came to an agreement that we bought a new booster seat for the 1st child. They were born the same month so weather was the same as far as clothes were concerned. They were about to buy a new booster seat so they were very happy with the idea. We also minded the older one a lot. Often one day at the weekend so Dad got more one-on-one with the newborn too.

  • Give a home made voucher saying a afternoon free while you babysit another for doing her shopping once a week for a month. Anything that can help her for the next few months that you think will help.

  • I’m going to be a second time mum.
If it were me, I’d like things like nappies and wipes for the baby. I’d also love some self care stuff like stretch mark cream and body scrubs.
You could also try a voucher for a pregnancy day spa/ massage.

  • Honestly if she has a lot, a gift for her would be lovely. Coming into her second stage of mama life, a voucher to spend on herself and an offer to watch the kids or kid for now would always be a blessing and a thoughtful gift.

  • I’m a second time mumma and didn’t need anything either. But cooked meals to freeze were a big help as with having 2 there is less time for things. One of my friends took my daughter out for a play at the park while I tested with newborn and that was the best gift I could have got as well. Hope you find something

  • Consumables such as nappies and wipes as they can only be used once.

  • We like to fill the freezer with home-cooked meals Mum can just heat-up and enjoy. YouFoodz voucher would be a great idea they offer meals and discounts and are very good for busy households. Offer to babysit and give Mum a break at least once a week for a while.

  • What a great idea! As its her second and she has most of the needed baby items, its good to focus more on mum this time round

  • I love to give home made vouchers for treats for friends and family to redeem such as cuppa time, shopping time, help at home time etc.

  • I always love giving the Sophie Giraffes, as it’s always to buy a new one for each baby. I also buy the round ring one that isn’t hollow.

  • I think much depends on your budget. The things you mention are nice. I also liked to get and give hant/foot print kit, tooth keepers box and first hair lock box

  • Easy more gourmet instant meals to pop in the freezer. Giving her time after Bub arrives for her to get some rest while you take them for a walk in the pram etc. A voucher for new books.

  • I would suggest a subscription to a food delivery service.
