I think housewarming are easy gifts as everyone needs something for their home. Maybe a painting , ornament , crockery , cookware , candle/light sets etc anything practically . If you know the tastes of your friend it might make it easier too. There are so many homeware stores that I think are not that overly expensive and they have really nice items .

I usually spend around $20-$30 and will buy a serving bowl or vase, bottle of sparkling wine or a scented candle depending on the recipient.

It depends a lot on whether it’s a first home, a young person, a couple… And how much I spend depends on how good a friend it is. A pot plant is usually good if you have no idea.
