Hello!

I have a 12 month old and I try to clean his toys as often as I can but would love tips on how you all clean toys

  • Do a regular clean sweep and if some things have to go away for a while that’s probably fine for things such as playmates that’s fine

  • Washing machine for soft toys, a disinfectant spray or wash in the sink for everything else.

  • Soft toys i put them on a warm gentle wash. Bath toys I put in the top shelf of the dishwasher. I wipe over other toys and blocks with a Detol wipe and then a tea towel. I also use a Eucalyptus spray over soft toys that cant be washed and mats, carpets and pillows.

  • I pop some toys into a pillow case and put them thru the washing machine. Others I soak in some diluted disinfectant and rinse thouroughly afterwards

  • Warm soapy water & a little disinfectant on hard surfaces regularly, I throw most soft toys in the washing machine every few weeks and have been known to keep a tin of Glen 20 handy (especially when visiting friends are a little unwell). Sunlight is the best disinfectant though, regularly air (line dry not machine) soft toys too!

  • I use disinfectant regularly to clean my girls toys and even more so when she has been sick or someone else has been sick. I am super cautious so I clean her toys whenever a friend touches them 😛
