Oh my goodness… don’t try to do it all. You’ll learn as you go along, even if some days you feel like you’re in survival mode. Ask for help if you need it and don’t be afraid to accept it if you are offered. Please don’t forget to look after yourself also.
Get professional help if you need it. I saw a psychologist after my baby was born as I was so overwhelmed and it helped a lot! Also, let people help you and take time out for yourself!
Be open to suggestions if you are having issues. It’s up to you whether you try them or not. All babies are individuals. I definitely recommend demand feeding not time. You will probably work out the differences in your baby’s cry. I remember I was babysitting a 3 month old once when some friends called in and bubs didn’t go to sleep. One of the Mums recognised her cry as a hungry cry.
Just go with things and don’t listen to other peoples advice, at the end of the day you know baby best and what works for you might not work for other people! Enjoy the wonderful ride
Go with your gut because you know best. Make sure you don’t lose yourself. Take time for yourself so you can reset everyone and then. Most of all enjoy the ride with your new little babe.
