The Prahran market use to be good but the prices are higher than Safeway,Coles etc.

I’ve never been, but apparently there is a market in South Melbourne and Footscray might be worth a try.

Interesting question – pity about the lack of answers. Would be interested to know too as love good markets.

Unsure where you live but Footscray Market has a good variety at reasonable prices and a few Asian shops that sell products not available elsewhere. Could be worth the trip. Ample parking at a reasonable price.
