  • Pasta dishes are my quick go to meals.

  • Tuna bake. It’s not a big favorite of mine, but it’s quick, easy, and the kids love it.

  • Probably chicken or steak schnitzel with chips and salad. A mushroom sauce if I have the time and ingredients

  • Fresh vegetables and burgers wins all the time.

  • From scratch, spaghetti bolognaise. Home made sausage rolls with veggies if Im doing it in advance.

  • eggs on toast
    baked beans on toast
salad/veg and a hot chook from coles
pasta bake etc pre-cooked and frozen

  • Salad wraps with the ready made frozen crumbed chicken. While it’s in the oven we cut up the salad. If we have time we’ll cook up some quinoa and scrambled egg (one after the other in a fry pan to reduce cleaning after).

  • Our quick meal is normally spaghetti bolognaise or mince on potato’s. We do a huge batch of mince in pasta sauce with vegies and put it in the freezer in meal sizes that way I just cook of the pasta or potatoes and add the heated up mince on top

  • Some wonderful idea here moms.
Mine would be a BBQ chicken from supermarket and frozen baked veggies from the freezer section of the supermarket. I always have a packet of baked veggies in the freezer and they only take around 20 mins or so to cook up. Hey presto baked chicken dinner in a flash.

  • I like to throw a few pieces of chicken (legs thighs or breast) into my large fry pan (with lid) on the stove. Add one and half cups of water with 2 teaspoons chicken stock powder and 2 table spoons of tomato paste, stir to mix and leave with lid on to cook for half an hour (temperature midway on dial until bubbling then lower until just a few bubbles) then add favourite vegs. I add potatoes carrots pumpkin (all cut up small) and peas. I cook for another half hour because I like my vegs well cooked and the flavour really penetrates. Never let boil dry. I serve into a bowl so the liquid can be consumed as well because its beautiful. This meals takes about 1 hour and only uses one pot. Is extremely healthy and tasty ( an unusual combo Ha!) Do not add salt as there is enough in the stock. love to all Lyn

  • A pasta bake (usually tuna) or spaghetti bolognaise (I have homemade sauce full of veggies in the freezer).

  • Spinach and ricotta pasta with bolognaise sauce. Pasta courtesy of Coles (pre done in pack) and sauce also from pasta sauce area of supermarket. Kids love it. Add garlic bread to “gourmet” it up a bit.

  • A stir fry or bacon and eggs served with tomatoes and avocado.

  • Summer lamb wrap with pea hommus, simply marinate lamb steak in morrocan seasoning and oil, make a hommus from chick peas, lemon juice, tahini, clove of garlic and handful of cooked peas in the nutribullet, grill lamb, heat lebanese bread and serve with cucumber, cherry toms and rocket !

  • We love soup with toast.

  • Spaghetti Bolognese or Chilli and rice are firm favourites in our household!

  • Schnitzels, I pre-crumb them and put them in the freezer and just take them out to defrost in the fridge the morning I want to cook them. They defrost quickly in the fridge too.

  • Definitely an omelette. Very healthy, can fill with lots of yummy things like ham or bacon, cheese, shallots, mushroom etc. super quick and tasty!

  • One Pan Pasta recipe from the Martha Stewart website. It is quick to make, tastes great and the bonus is there is only one pan to wash up! Easy to modify the base recipe as well with other ingredients that one may have available.

  • Chicken burgers cooked in the oven and then served with a salad. Not much work either.
