Hello!

What is your favourite slice/cake/ dessert?
I always see vanilla slice and passionfruit slice go good at bake sales etc Cheesecakes seem good too. What are your favourites? If you eat out do you get dessert? What do you look for? I feel like salted caramel might be overly done by now. For me I can’t go past lemon meringue pie!
I’d love to know your kids favourites are too.

  • I have a HUGE sweet tooth, so there are so many different things that I love! For slices, I love vanilla slice, but I also love looking for whatever is a little more unique and different. I love citrus flavours, banoffee is another favourite if done right and you can’t go too wrong with chocolate desserts! My kids favourite thing is ice-cream. They can be a little fussier on other desserts, but they do both like chocolate cheesecake and most cakes.

  • I really do love to try different foods from all around the world including sweet treats and desserts and have come across some ones that are truly delicious and some that will not be tasted again. It is such a wonderful adventure to sample foods from all around the world. I love unusual combinations of food.

  • Oh where do I start my favourite slice would have to be the good old Mars Bar slice my favourite tart would have to the Nenish tart and the cake would have to be a vanilla cake that is full of cream and strawberries in it and on top of it

  • Cheesecake. Any flavour, any type. Baked and unbaked. Plain, chocolate, strawberry, caramel. I’m not too good at making cheesecakes myself, I find them challenging. I’m happy to buy a nice cheesecake from Woolworths or the Cheesecake Shop for special family occasions. I also love tiramisu. Coffee, cream, chocolate, oh my goodness…a dessert dream!

  • My all time favourite is lemon loaf. I just baked a celebration loaf for the household for getting unconditional approval. My favourite slice or dessert to make for a gathering is Nagi’s caramel slice. That is something really special. I like to drizzle white chocolate over the milk chocolate and make a spiral pattern.

  • Way too many! I love cakes and slices and desserts. I can’t go by a Ferrero Cheesecake that seems to be in many cafes around here of late. If they have a Creme Brulee or Pavlova on the menu I’m in. If I am cooking myself a german apple slice.

  • Personally I am not really a desert fan at all. I grew up in the Netherlands and we never had a slice or cake for desert, mostly it was just plain yogurt and on special day vanilla yogurt and fresh fruits. The best desert for me at home is still just plain Greek yogurt or fresh kefir with maybe some home made granola lol. But most of the time I don’t crave anything after eating dinner and keep it by a cup of (decaf) coffee

  • I have a number of sweet treats that are favourites to make and also favourites to order. I refuse to be limited by a couple of favourites when there are so many amazing sweet treats to eat. I also like to discover new flavours and sweet treats to eat. Salted caramel and the combination of sweet and salty will never ever get old here! Love the combination of the two!

  • coming in to December our favorite sweet treat to make is homemade peppermint patties, they are so easy to make, you can make in advance for a function and the dough freezes super well. We only make these at Christmas time and enjoy sharing them as part of a sweets box with friends and family.

  • I love making rich gluten free brownies, they are the best, so light and fluffy and absolutely delicious. I can never get enough of them. All my friends love them too. I don’t need to use gluten free flour however for this recipe it tastes a thousand percent before with this type of flours.
