  • Spaghetti bolognaise – it’s particularly good if you need to hide veggies from the kids, because grated carrots, broccoli, zucchini, etc will sort of percolate down during the cooking, and be invisible by the time you get it out of the slow cooker.

  • Some great ideas here. Pork shoulder sounds good

  • I love a beef casserole. You can put beef steak or chops any other meat you wish. Add in onions, carrots and potatoes or other vegetables and some stock and just let sit for hours. Add some cornflour at the end to thicken the sauce if desired. It really is a winner.

  • If your looking for cheap and easy apricot chicken legs…… chicken legs a pack of French onion soup and a tin of apricots in syrup/juice I use peaches sometimes ….too easy pop in slow cooker mix and wait.

  • I love silverside in the slow cooker (it’s so melt in you mouth!), also a basic stew (throw all your veg in, coat beef in flour and add), add a can of diced tomato, stock, Worcester sauce, bay leaf, anything else you desire!) and even apricot chicken. There are some AMAZING slow cooker facebook groups that you can join. Love the slow cooker – the meat is always so good. Happy cooking!

  • Lamb shanks are my favourite recipe to slow cook. You can freeze them too.

  • New fav rogan josh

  • My husband cooks corn beef in the slow cooker with heaps of veggies as a stock while cooking. We use the left overs for lunch sandwiches etc

  • Indian dish: rajma

  • Honey Soy Chicken is the favourite of the family. Combination of chicken, soy, hint of basil, oregano, garlic, onion, carrots and McCains vegetables with of course some honey.

  • Mmm slowcooker. Mince meat stew is nice. Garlic, onion. Added carrots peas gravy lots seasoning.

  • My favourite slow cooker recipe is to place all leftover vegetables along with chicken or beef and my homemade tomato sauce in the slow cooker. I season for taste and serve with rice or pasta – always delicious and a good way to use up vegetables and not have any waste.

  • I love doing an easy pulled pork. I put a boneless piece of pork (like shoulder – trim off the fat layer) and tip a jar of tomato passata and a jar of salsa over the top and cook till the meat is falling apart. Then we eat it on baked potatoes, or with veg, or in a roll with coleslaw etc. Sometimes I add extra spice like some jalapenos.
