When I was a child , I constantly heard my mother telling us how great Am-O Lin Lanolin baby cream and it always had a picture of a baby at the front . I used to use it for cold sores , dry skin etc for may years m but and it is a thick intense cream which would definatley soothe baby skin . There are heaps on the market now so maybe go the baby section of a pharmacy such as Priceline or Chemist Warehouse and there may even be testers .

I use sudacrem. By far the best and it creates a waterproof barrier which helps the rash heal quicker

I use sudocrem for my little one, and work very well and never had any problem with it.

The majority of creams seem to be zinc based and a barrier against wet so you need to make sure the area is dry before you put it on. I’ve used sudocream, bepanthen and gaia soothing cream with lavender (this one was nice but it was near impossible to get it out of its bottle). Nappy rash is a fungal infection and the chemist recommended canestan which cleared it right up

I used to use Sudocreme and now I use Aromababy barrier balm instead.

Covitol, it is available in a tube and also a rub, it does not smell that great but it has the zinc in it that works as a barrier, my mum who was a nurse used it on me 40 years ago, I used it on my children 20 years ago and it is now to the next generation, I have also used it for chaffing and basically the worst nappy rash will be healed within 24 hours, I googled it this morning and it is still getting fantastic reviews, I still keep a tube in the cupboard, it is tried and true and fantastic.

I ended up using paw paw cream on mine. I found it soothed the area and also repelled moisture so it was great for nappy rash.

Your local pharmacy will often give you samples to try with your bub. We tried samples before deciding on a product.

We use Sudocrem because the dr recommended getting one with zinc oxide. We’ve never had a problem with it.

Sudocreme was the only one that we had successful results from. We tried quite a few.
I can be purchased at a pharmacy and in some supermarkets. It was recommended to us by medical professionals.

There’s some great answers here for uncomplicated nappy rash, I’d just like to add that if the rash is persistent and becomes very spotty and red, it may be fungal – in which case you’ll require something with clotrimazole in it, such as daktozin.
