You already indicate a couple of things what you look for in a pram; wight, width, size, easy to fold, durability, etc You could ask specialist advice in store with the requirement you have in mind

I looked for one that would fit in the boot of my car, large basket, ease of steering. One thing to possibly note if you get a bassinet attachment keep in mind you may possibly loose a bit of access to the basket, that happened with me but it didn’t bother me too much given we only used the bassinet for a couple months. Look for something with a good size basket underneath and preferably with wheels that dont need to be pumped up.
We had a valco zee spark and while it was easy to fold one handed, it did have a large wheel base and the basket wasnt the greatest in size. The wheels did come off with a click of a button which make it a little more compact and the seat converted to a bassinet for newborns. I suggest going into a store and pushing a few around. open and close them and see which one feels good. Then get online and find the best price!

Firstly, look at where you will mostly be using it. Rubber wheels would be a must if you’ll be doing some country travelling. I would also look at the ease of which it folds down and also it’s overall weight. There will be times where you’ll be on your own, so lightweight and easily folded are musts

Thanks for your advice on the Quinny, I’ll look into it! That foot brake drove me crazy, thanks for reminding me how much I don’t want the lift to release again! I use to bend down and use my hand it hurt so much!!

I have a steelcraft strider compact. Reasons I chose it:
-a large basket with a reasonable gap between the bottom of the seat and the basket(no point having a big basket like some brands if you can’t actually fit big items between the seat and the top of the basket)
-adjustable handle
-can turn seat to face you or face out
-hood come downs a long way, I do not like using blankets for extra shade as they trap the heat in, so a good that come right down but still lets airflow in is a must, plus the middle section can pull back to reveal a mesh section for extra air flow
-can fit a second seat for the next one
-takes a capsule
-peep hole is magnetic not Velcro so your not making s noise when you open it to peep in at the baby
-folds down easy and quickly
-a pedal break that you push down to unlock and lock. Steal clear of any breaks that you need to lift with your foot, it hurts if your barefoot or have sandals on to try lift it up with the top of your foot.

Things I don’t like about mine are the weight and that it takes up a fair amount of space in the car.
Quinny do super duper light prams that fold up really small, they are amasing but no good to me because you can’t fit your house in them (I always take more than I need with me) also silvercross prams have almost everything I wanted apart from the bigger hood, but they are lighter and fold down smaller 🙂 good luck 🙂
