Hello!

Would love suggestions for a dress. The wedding is in Summer and in the middle of the day in a rural area.

  • I’d be looking for a light dress to wear that gives your body air. Being summer during the day will likely be quite hot – you can always add a cardigan if it gets cold. If it’s in a rural area you may also want to bring some bushman spray to keep away the creepy crawlies.

  • I went to a rural wedding and wore a knee length dress. One of the other female guests was wearing a navy pant suit and she looked lovely, so I guess as long as your outfit is not too casual you should be fine.

  • a nice floral maxi dress would look lovely.

  • check out Birdsnest website – they have a whole section on outfits for occasions

  • The fact that it’s a middle of the day wedding and in a rural area I would think smart casual, nice dress and simple shoes but end of the day no one remembers what you wear unless you’re the bride so be comfortable!

  • Discovered and fell in love with the most pretty wrap for the wedding! Now to pair it with a dress!

  • Thanks for the tips mums for wedding dress wear. Will definitely layer and choose a pretty wrap. Helpful ideas – thank you. 🙂

  • I got a georgeous floral midi dress from target 2 days ago a Dannii Minogue one it was on clearance for 20$ it was a bargain it looks elegant

  • I’d wear a knee length comfortable dress. Dressy but flowy so it’s comfortable. Definitely take a jacket or shawl so if the party goes on you aren’t cold because it can still get cold over night.

  • Oooohhhh, sounds like it could be warmish. First thing I look for in clothes, regardless of the event, is comfort. If I’m going to be anywhere for any amount of time, I want to be comfortable. I think maxi dress would be the way to go. They have lots of different styles and fabric patterns. That’s what I would choose. Good luck

  • Smart casual even though your in the country,a pretty dress and shawl or small jacket or delicate cardigan.
