Hello!

I have been told by a podiatrist that bare feet are the best as the baby learns to walk naturally. Obviously, this is not always practical outdoors. So any advice on shoes would be appreciated.

  • THE first one was a blue adidas one from
    Footlocker

  • Very soft leather shoes that don’t have a stiff base

  • yeah, I agree barefoot is best. I did have socks with non slip soles, and also very soft leather shoes for my son, as they were needed in winter x

  • i found that a good pair of runners is perfect. i always chose nike

  • Tip Toe Joeys are quite good but I would definitely go and get them fitted properly. Don’t buy too many. Once they start walking their feet grow pretty quickly as they are using those foot muscles more. And don’t get the next size up so they can grow into them (as a lot of places advise). It’s hard enough for little ones to walk anyway without the impediment of big shoes.

  • Love primigi shoes!

  • I would go to a shoe shop where shoes are correctly fitted for your baby’s first pair of walking shoes. It is important that shoes are correctly fitted and support their feet, otherwise they may develop foot problems.
Check around as there is considerable price difference for the same shoes in different stores (different companies), even when the stores are located near each other. They aren’t cheap but think of your precious baby’s feet. The way they walk can also impact on the legs and back.
