  • I think all mine were around the 3-4 month mark

  • You dont get you period while your breastfeeding it’s only when you stop will there be a delay but it will come back when you stop

  • Breastfeeding delays your period. I bottle feed my 9 week old & am yet to have a period.

  • Wow, I can’t really remember. I know it was quite a few months after giving birth

  • Everyone is different, it can take over 6 months in some cases, its all hormonal and breastfeeding definitely has a big impact.

  • Sadly mine came back at 3 months both times despite exclusive breastfeeding however I have a friend who is still breastfeeding her 13 month old daughter and still no sign of a period. Not very helpful but everyone really is different.

  • it really does depend on your body – if you are concerned I’d speak to gp or community nurse but I wouldn’t worry too much juist yet

  • I felt ripped off I exclusively breastfeed and I got mine back at 5 months, other friends who did not feed got theirs much later

  • With my first i got it back at 10months, my second is 8months and no sign so far. I also get cramps and it often feels like its coming. OR i get scared i’m pregnant and do a test:)
My GP mentioned that it often comes back when you drop a feed, go from 6 to 5 i think…

  • I breastfed my daughter for 1 year and 1 week. If I don’t recall wrong, my daughter was 8 months old when I got my period back.
