When do your periods start after a baby?

My baby is 8 months old, sleeps through the night, down to 4 or so milk – breast feeds – a day. The problem is I still haven’t got my period back, when should I start to worry/ expect its return? When do your periods start after a baby?

Yes everyone is different and for some it doesn’t return until after they stopped breastfeeding for a while.

Everyone is different. I have breastfed four children and got mine back everytime breastfeeding including feeding twins. Some people don’t get it back until they have completely finished feeding. You will just have to wait and see when it comes back.

I don’t get mine till I start to wean baby. Everyone different! Don’t stress enjoy the break!

Mine didn’t start til 18 months after I had my first child, and that was 2 months after I stopped breastfeeding. Even then, they didn’t come back regularly for about 6 months. I know lots of girls whose periods haven’t started til well after they stopped breastfeeding.

Mine only returned when bub was 11 months old and was still feeding 6 times day and night but I do know of some people that theirs did not return until they weaned completely from feeding bub

whilst i was breasfeeding for 14mths i didnt get my period. when i stopped and went on the contraceptive pill they returned after 2 months.
