It is up to you when you want to stop the dummy I did it and it was fairly easy

It all comes down to bub. Some parents have a shocking time weening bub from a dummy, others do it with ease

I don’t think there’s a set time. Generally it’s when you can get them to give it up, some are reluctant

When you and them are ready. Dont believe there’s a fix time. Mine just decided she didn’t like it anymore at 3 months

My first had one for the first couple months then he got over it, my second had one until roughly 5 months then he got over it. I just stopped giving it, they both didn’t care at all

My son used to suck his thumb more than the dummy and was fortunate that both my children disliked the dummy and never used it for too long . I would use the dummy only as a backup if eg they cant sleep and you need to comfort them urgently otherwise I don’t think it is necessary and creates a bad habit which will be hard to stop later on . Guess the answer is ASAP.

You can’t stop early enough, better still…don’t start at all !

my first born was never into the dummy thing so we were lucky but the second one slept all night once she had a dummy from the age of 1. she is 3 now and has agreed that Santa will take her dummy in replacement of presents. she says she is a big girl now. we will see how it goes but she is quite dedicated to it
