Hello!

Roughly, I understand all children are different but when would be recommended to start toilet training?

  • From about two and a half years of age, but don’t worry if it takes longer.

  • when the child shows interest, and can hold urine for at least 2 hours, when the child begins to recognize they’ve done a poo or wee

  • My little guy is 2 & 1/2 and is definitely ready (tells me when he is weeing and pooping) however he is very lazy and every time we have tried to toilet train him it doesn’t work! It is very frustrating!

  • I started my kids around 20 months – they were fully trained doing the day by 2yrs. Though they will tell you when they are ready. Just keep putting them on the potty next to her toilet and let her see you go

  • my daughter just turned 2 and we have started getting her familiar with potty.

  • my first was trained by 2 years and she just was really keen to use the potty. middle child just after 2. i am starting with my just 2 year old son. my friend is training her 3 year old now

take the lead from your child, when they don’t want the nappy on and watch themself weeing on the bathroom floor while waiting for the bath to fill lol

  • Around 2 years of age is a good base starting age I believe. I introduced the potty and potty books to my eldest at 18months of age. He loved the tv so I would just let him sit on potty infront of tv until he unknowingly did wees and we jumped up and down and congratulated him and from there it was a breeze as he then understood what I wanted from him and was excited that it made mum and dad so happy.
