As soon as they get teeth, you can use a face washer on your finger to start and get them use to having something rub on their gums, we also got tooth brush stages, the first is rubbery, the second still rubbery but with rubber bristles and the third is like a mini tooth brush. ages are indicated on then box.

I agree as soon as they appear, wipe with a cloth once there is more than four or so teeth start with a light brush but if using tooth paste use a kids friendly one..

I had toothbrush type chew toys. The ones with rubbery spikes not bristles and I had a second one just so that they got used to brushing daily. We started at 4months and used a spot of kids toothpaste when the teeth appeared. I don’t know about fluoride or anything but the kids toothpaste has less of something in it because they swallow it and don’t learn to spit till their 3 or so. After they can spit you use the next stronger one. At least that’s what I am doing.

I would always give my baby a toothbrush to play with in the bath every night from as soon as she could hold one. When teeth appeared my trick was to have two tooth brushes – one that she could play with and one that I would use to brush her teeth.

Agree with as soon as they appear, to get baby used to having a brush in their mouth. I had the Nuk transition brushes that just started as rubber with some nubs, to rubber with a bit of bristles to a normal bristle brush.
