  • We had a simpler monitor, and I left it on till the youngest was five years. Although mostly that was because it was entertaining to eavesdrop on the kids!

  • Personally I think at least as long they’re in a cot and totally depend on you for their needs it’s good to have the sound on

  • when you and bub are ready to do so. it will probably be fine anyway.

  • Babies gradually learn to self settle. However in warmer weather or when you have heating on you baby may need a drink, even if you use water. Some wake up when their nappy is wet or soiled. An extra change can avoid nappy rash. That could be one of the reasons your baby is waking. Do you check your baby’s temperature? I know one little one who occasionally gets a high temperature overnight yet is OK the next day.

  • he doesn’t sleep through the night and soon as he starts to winge I’m straight to him as I don’t want to wake the other kid

  • I think I used it till my daughter was at least 3 years old! 🙂

  • When you are ready, I used the sensor one underneath the baby’s sheepskin until 12 months with mine and then kept on using the noise monitor while they were having day sleeps. So right up until 2.5-3 years of age
