Hello!

Our 2.5 yr old son is in love with helping out in the garden. However, we only have normal size everything. We obviously don’t want him handling sharp tools. Does any MoM’s know where I can get some garden tools for Toddlers?

  • Bunnings, Mitre 10 or when Aldi have their garden sales they have some great tools for kids

  • Bunnings but also kmart have some okay ones.
Does anyone remember back in the day when kmart had a separate garden section like bunnings that were behind sliding doors?!

  • I got some from Catch of the Day, but I would think most toy stores would have some.

  • Bunnings by far! They have the best quality, adult forms in child sizes. Proper wooden and metal ones

  • I’m sure I’ve seen miniature garden tools at Bunnings and garden centres.

  • Depends on how authentic you want to be. If it’s just plastic ones you’re wanting, I’ve found them in BigW and KMart. But if you want a proper little metal set, Bunnings is the best place by far.

  • I think I have seen some in Bunnings or if you are in a city there is a shop that sell all things Japanese for very little money… I think everything is $3. I just can’t think of its name though!! There are several in Melbourne… one in the Queen Victoria shopping centre.

  • Bunnings and even Kmart or bigW have them

  • Try Bunnings , they seem to always have a massive garden section in very store .

  • Big w have a great range in the garden section. Kmart also

  • Hardware stores, nurseries, garden shops. Even Coles, Woolies, BigW, Kmart often have them. National Geographic and Australia Post…all worth a try

  • ive seen them in Bunnings

  • I found some at Big W in the garden section, I’ve also seen some in toy sections in places like kmart/target/big w

  • all the hardware stores do, like Bunnings, masters, mitre 10. I have also seen them in kmart and in bigw.

  • We piCked up a rake shovel and broom from big w for $5 each.

  • BIG W, sell adult tools that are easy to hold so will work for little hands, they are also strong so wont break, a lot of the toy ones are false economy as they break, I always bought my kids the little hand tools from Big W.

  • Bunnings; Aldi and garden nurseries sell them.

  • I bourght my sons gardening tools from bunnings. They were about $20 for the pack.

  • KmArt big w or Bunnings have a really good kiddies garden set out. I brought some a few yrs ago and out boys loved them just given away few months ago as they are a bit bug for th now.

  • ALDI has them from time to time. About a month or so ago they had children’s gardening tools (including shovels and wheelbarrows)! Good luck!
