I’ve been to lots of countries, the most remote was probably Nepal.

Before kids I traveled to Germany, France, Israel, Cyprus, Ostrich, Switzerland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Ecuador, Galapagos, Thailand, Mozambique, China (2nd time), Spain (Malaga), Malaysia, Tunisia

With the kids or without? With the kids we have been out to Chowilla Game Reserve on a kayaking trip (no phone reception there) and have travelled the Stuart Highway, camping along the way, stopping to go noodling in Coober Pedy and exploring the Desert Parks around Alice Springs.

I love Australia. I have been to many remote places. I have to admit a lot of the places I have been I wouldn’t go now because of the increasing danger. Bushland in every state, remote beaches especially in Tasmania, Dunk Island off Cairns is worth the trip. Do travel all over Australia, its amazing and beautiful and has everything. But do stay safe. love to all Lyn.

I’ve been from Lands End to John O’Groats, and both were pretty remote.

Nowhere hugely remote, but warratah bay near Wilson’s prom feels as though it’s the middle of nowhere.

We’ve lived in different parts of the world and I must say the places I’d love to visit again one day are Easter Island (Chile) and Machu Picchu (Peru)

Exmouth in WA. It was incredible. And nothing for hundreds of kms around.

Orkney – an archipelago in the Northern Isles of Scotland -comprising approximately 70 islands, of which 20 are inhabited. My sister lives on the largest Island!

Nowhere remote. I’ve never been out of Australia and have no wish to. Quite happy to holiday at home

Before we had children we went to a remote village in Vietnam and stayed with a family (whom we paid) who cooked for us the most amazing food ever. Was such a memorable stay.

Most of Australia! (although some/most National Park campgrounds fill up on holiday weekends). I think some of the opal mining towns like White Cliffs, Coober Pedy and Lightening Ridge are remote places, that nevertheless have some infrastructure (think free hot artesian spa in Lightening Ridge, and swim pool with wave machine) and of course the chance to drive off into the middle of no where and fossick! .. or potter around in the mullock heaps in town.

I love the sound of the helicopter ride and the glacier landing Cherz – sound fabulous! Inspired to take a trip to NZ and to do this activity. 🙂

We did a helicopter snow landing at Fox Glacier New Zealand …it was simply breath takingly beautiful and quite surreal.
