Hello!

As I cannot travel overseas or interstate due to health reasons I was wondering anyone know any good places around Sydney NSW that are good to visit without travelling too far away,

  • I love both the south Coast and northern beaches around Sydney. And the Blue Mountains are fabulous. You cannot go wrong! From Port Stephens to Kiama, Berry, to Orange and Mudgee, you’re spoiled for choice! Just decide, do you want, wines, beaches, mountains, adventure or chill and go from there! Enjoy!

  • Although I haven’t been there yet I am keen to explore the Blue Mountains.

  • It does depend a little bit on exactly how far you can travel. Coffs Harbour is nice, for example, and I’d call it not too far from Sydney, but you might think it is. You could also consider a range of other coastal areas. Katoomba is interesting. It depends a bit on what you want to do.

  • The other good thing about Sydney is there are a wealth of good places to eat food and also to shop. We do like markets and it might be a good idea to do an online search and find a list of markets to suit likes and interests. It might be a good idea to do the same thing with food and find places to try new food and discover new places to enjoy different and fun cuisine.

  • I love visiting Sydney, I find there are so many fun places to explore. The Royal Botanical Gardens are absolutely lush. One of my favourites I’ve visited. Exploring Surry Hills was fun. So many beautiful places to eat, fun stores to explore. I found so many eclectic vintage stores. And you also get a lot of live music and theatre.

  • I agree, it really depends what you like to do. There’s the beautiful blue mountains and the three sisters. There’s all the amazing beaches and historic places to visit. Hawkesbury is beautiful and full of charm. Whilst the city is boasting museums, Taronga zoo, the aquarium. Cultural experiences like Cabramatta. So many great things to see and do. Keep looking out on Facebook for local attractions and events

  • It really does depend on what activities and places are enjoyed and also the type interests. I am a fan of galleries and exhibitions and I imagine there would be plenty of them to see in Sydney. There should also be plenty of ‘tourist’ places to visit and the information on these places and locations should be available via tourist information both online and at a centre/booth. Maybe a good idea to have a search online for tourist information. There should also be plenty of outdoor options and wildlife experiences in and around Sydney.
