  • Spotlight and Lincraft are my first go to

  • I have bought from spotlight but want to find somewhere with a better selection

  • Check the mill end bags at spotlight. Usual price is $10 a bag. I’ve picked up some really good yarn this way.

  • Spotlight online is great especially when they are on sale

  • I love Spotlight for wool. They have a large variety and the prices are reasonable, especially if they have a sale on!

  • Spotlight and Big W for me.

  • And ? where did you end up buying ?

  • I taught myself basic crochet and found out wool was everywhere even at op shops. There should be more during winter as it is still quite warm now, so later try bargain stores, Spotlight , Target, Big W , Kmart etc… Good luck :)

  • I like Spotlight because it’s close to home and they have a large range. Lincraft is also good.

  • Spotlight, $2 shops, markets, yard sales are all good places.

  • Spotlight, $2 shops, markets, yard sales are all places.

  • I’ve e gotten some form the $2 shops & reject shop. Not always the colour I wanted, but definitely a bargain.

  • bargains as I see them in stores like Spotlight; and also look on ebay gumtree etc. just in case anything fits the bill.

  • It really depends on the quality you want and how much you’re willing to spend. If you have a decent sized budget then I go indie dyers all the way. You get beautiful stuff. Otherwise knitpicks online and bendigo woolen mills probably have the best quality for the best price.

  • I like going to Spotlight, Red Dot, Target, KMart, BigW and I generally find what I want in one of those stores. Sometimes I look in the Reject shop as well.

  • Think Lincraft and Spotlight are quite good and any special craft shop I find on my way I would enter. When I travel to Europe and the Netherlands I always go hunting at “de witte engel”, they have such beautiful natural stuff.

  • Mu mum runs a craft shop and you can purchase online. Its called craftyhands.com.au

  • I find that Spotlight has so many choices in wools and accessories for knitting and crocheting.

  • I buy wool from buy, swap and sell pages – usually get good bulk deals too. I also buy wool from second hand shops and recycling, reusing and repurposing shops.
