Who do you bank with?

Hello!

Im currently with commonwealth but looking at changing to a lower fee bank. I currently get charged $4 a month. Hoping to find a better deal. Thanks ladies

I’m with NAB and no fees, ING as well, no fees and rebates for ATM withdrawal fees. If you are on centrelink tell them and they won’t charge the monthly fee.

Most banks and building societies offer fee free accounts but I’m not sure if they would have all the services you need.

I bank with Bank Australia and Bank Victoria and do not get charged anything. I wouldn’t stay with a bank that charged monthly fees.

I too am with The Commonwealth. I have heard lots of good things about the Bendigo Bank. Haven’t really looked into it for myself tho

I’d be questioning the monthly fee you’re being charged. It can variate based on what type of account you have. Some banks charge until you get a certain amount deposited per month.

You shouldn’t have to pay a monthly fee – I’d question it. As the other mum’s have said – try a comparison site, banks are very competitive nowadays!

I have a credit card which i dont pay a yearly fee for because i have banked with them since i was a little girl. I will have a look at a comparison website now. Thanks ladies i didn’t even think about that.

I’m with NAB and I cant seem to find any charges on my statements and I was with a credit union before and was disgusted with the monthly fee charges for no apparent reason . Also using a comparison site may help you too.

You should definitely compare banks. Having to pay 4 dollars a month just to keep an account, seems quite a lot to me.

I’ve been with Citibank for the last 10 years and I don’t pay any account fee.
