Would love a smoothie with a lift and energy boost. Any tried and tested smoothies?

  • Any smoothie with lots of greenery will provide lots of energy


  • There are some good recipes in A nutribullet recipe book. Target use to have some for $9, otherwise you get a good one with the nutribullet


  • Good point about the apples and bananas. :)


  • Apples and bananas are known energy boosters. So I would suggest any fruit and veggie combo as long as it has these 2 in it also

  • My favourite one is made with frozen mango, frozen blueberries, Greek yogurt, almond and coconut milk, chia seeds and flax meal.


  • I think berrys are the best. Blackberries have the most antioxidants apparently over blueberries, strawberries etc. so can help the body most. Perhaps try 1 cup berries, milk, some youghart (if not vegan), 1 banana, 1 tbl ground flaxseed (helps make a thick smoothie and being ground your body can access its nutrients) and 1/4 teaspon tumeric (you don’t notice this and it has such good anti-inflammatory, and other, benefits).
