Keep an eye on competitions that all the major bottle shops run and see if you can buy the wine you want when it could help you win something. I wanted to buy some nice champagne to celebrate a family event, so found a competition where buying it gave me the chance to win a weekend away to Tasmania. The wine I purchased did not seem so expensive when it resulted in winning the holiday. $50 of wine turned in to a $2000 holiday!

Is you can afford to do that go for it. I personally wouldn’t but thats because we are so strapped for cash that we couldn’t afford that, and I don’t drink.

Heck yes it fine. I spend $500 on a bottle of whiskey that I wanted. Treat yourself.

Been fortunate enough to be gifted wines. Always a good idea to follow your own gut feeling on purchases.

I am happy if I will buy 5$ wine for myself….

Personally, that much money on a drink is outrageous, no way would I spend that. But it’s your birthday, you’ve wanted it for years, why not spoil yourself

Only you can know about the price tag and whether you can afford it… I personally don’t drink dessert wines.

Your money, your choice. We all have different things that appeal. Personally it’s not for me. I’d buy myself plants for my garden.
