  • No. They increase SUDI risk.

  • Yes, absolutely they’re safe. I’m using them at the moment. As long as they are securely fixed to the cot bars, they’re 100% safe. They look great and protect bubs head to an extent

  • I have the airwrap mesh bumpers but sids website does not recommend anything in or around the cot. To be honest, they only provide entertainment for my daughter who likes to rip them off – the velcro sound must sound great to her, I have to tighten them daily. If you haven’t bought them already – save your money!

  • Personal choice as to whether you think they are safe and how much your baby moves around in the cot. Check with Australian Safety Standards first to see if they are approved by them. If not, I would not buy them.

  • Did you decide whether to get one or not?

  • did you end up getting one?

  • Did you end up using them?

  • My bubs has been fine with hers but it only went in when she was old enough to move around and kept sticking her arms through

  • A you going to use one?

  • Not when they are really little

  • I have heard that they are not recommended to be used.

  • I didn’t think they still sold them after they caused the deaths of babies I thought they were all recalled, to me its not worth the risk.

  • I used them and found them to be safe. I guess it is a matter of personal choice

  • I never used them as I was told there unsafe

  • I have heard that no bumpers are safe . Best to avoid them

  • I used Bumpers with all 3 of my kids and never had any problems.

  • I was told by the midwives they weren’t safe until at least 12 months as a risk for SID’s

  • I never used one but my son was wrapped so couldnt evee get limbs stuck anyway.. its all personal choice

  • I never used one and never had any issues! But it is a personal choice. If you do use a bumper the breathable ones or the wraps are probably better.

  • I’ve used the airwrap ones for 13 months and haven’t had a problem
