  • I was happy either way, but now I have a girl I can’t imagine it any other way.

  • I think I wanted a girl because I have kept all my childhood toys. But 2 healthy boys is amazing!

  • This is such a great question, and I’ve loved reading everyone’s responses too. Before I fell pregnant the first time, I’d pick up one thing off a clearance sale table and take home for the cupboard. It would be the best bargain and the most eye-catching outfit on that day, which meant I had a nice cache of clothing in various sizes and styles when bub finally arrived. Funnily enough, about 90% of them were boys clothes or unisex.
We were thrilled to have two girls and two boys. At each ultrasound, we found out the sex but didn’t tell a soul. Instead we were amused by everyone else’s predictions.

  • Like must parents I just wanted healthy baby but my pick was a boy first and then girl. Old school mentality but wanted him to look after you get siblings. I got what I wanted but wouldn’t have mattered because my daughter can hold her own.

  • We never even worried about whether it was a boy or girl .We were so thrilled to be having a family .All we cared about was that when bub was born it was healthy. As it turned out I had girl, boy, girl, boy, and people think we were very clever. The eldest daughter is nearly 45 and the youngest son is nearly 37.

  • Our first priority was a healthy baby, gender did not matter.

  • Gender was never a thought for us.
We were just so thrilled to be able to fall pregnant we chose to keep the sex a secret with all 3 babies. All 3 boys were wonderful surprises & I only ever wanted them to be healthy & happy.

  • I didn’t mind with my first. With my second I did want a girl but ended up with another boy. We are so close now I can’t imagine him not being here.

  • I hoped for a girl with my first and had a girl, and am hoping for another girl for this one that’s due December, however I would be happy either way. Just nervous about raising a boy! So excited though :)

  • I sorta hoped I’d have a girl eventually, but I wasn’t at all disappointed with my boys.

  • I didn’t find out the sex of either of my babies until they were born. It wasn’t an issue. All I wanted was a sweet, healthy little bub to love and take home. Having said that, I had a boy and then a girl. Maybe if I had 2 boys or 2 girls, I may have tried for a girl. But no, I was never disappointed by the sex of my babies, loved them regardless

  • My first I was a little sad it was a boy. He made me so happy that I was kinda glad when the next was a boy.

  • Not really but want to eventually have one of each! In saying that, I am a believer of what is meant to be will be :)

  • for my first it really didnt worry me but i found out during the scan, for my second i hoped for a girl and found out in a scan i was having one. For my third we didnt find out as we had both boy and girl things so it was not impotant. We had a boy and the family was complete.

  • I think there are alot of mums out there that get this way, especially for their 2nd child. Having the opposite sex to what you already have is the ideal family, but you should try not to get up too worked up about it. Try think about all those mums that cant have either.
Its hard but you fall inlove with them whether they are the sex you wanted or not
