Vitamins for you and the baby during pregnancy.

  • Yes, I do think it’s important. See your GP for the most current advice about the best ones.


  • I think it can be very helpful to take a prenatal vitamin, but don’t take too many others, as some can be dangerous in excess in pregnancy.


  • I did I took a hit, skin and nails supplements, iron tablets, and pregnancy multivitamins


  • I had severe anemia with the first and spent 3 days laying down before being told take elevit and eat steak, eggs and tuna three times a day. 3 kids later and 10 yrs and I am still trying to get my energy back.

  • I didn’t take any supplements for pregnancy. If you’re lacking in sonething tho, there’s no harm in popping vitamins. Ask you gp first tho


  • even if you have a great diet it is almost impossible to get enough of some vitamin and minerals due to the poor quality of our sols in Australia and poor quality fruit and vegetables available in most supermarkets. I took a good quality pregnancy multi vitamin with both of my pregnancies and all obstetricians will recommend them just in case. They are especially important in the first 3 months when diet is effected by morning sickness and that is when the baby is developing all their critical systems.


  • Yes especially folate! Others such as vitamin D helpful if you’re deficient. Otherwise, I would imagine, a good balanced diet would be enough. Unless of course you’re having twins or triplets!


  • Yes, particularly some like Folate, Vitamin D, Iron, iodine, Fish Oil all of which have evidence supporting


  • You should take a pregnancy vitamin this will just help you and bub if you are lacking or low in certain vitamins
