Shirley Barber’s fairy books have beautiful illustrations!
I love when the pictures tell as much of the story and the words do.
I personally don’t have many books like that, sadly, but am always on the look out for them.
Whilst not fabulous for illustrations, The Story Orchestra books put snippets of classical music to some well know fairy tales

There’s a book called Springtime Tales and it is absolutely beautifully illustrated.

I’ve always remembered Children’s Golden Books and so may series too .

I loved the Brothers Grimm. I also have 2 big fairytale books, ones called 365 daytime fairy tales and the other is 365 night time fairy tales. They have suffered a fair bit if wear and tear from being read so much

i used to love the hans christian collection but i would buy it for the older kids. for example, ariel dies in the hans story so might not be appropriate for littlies.

The Can’t you sleep little bear books are gorgeous and so are Guess how much I love you.

Not fairy tale but I still have my old enchanted wood series. Back then they were big hard cover books with great illustrations.

Have not heard of the Tudor Fairy tales, sounds intriguing.

Our favourites are big winnie the pooh collections.

I love the Tasha Tudor Book of Fairy Tales, she’s an American artist that my mom enjoys and it’s one we grew up with in our house, absolutely lovely images.
And while it’s not a fairy tale I love the classic Winnie the Pooh, great stories and lovely illustrations.
