  • we were a single income family for 9 years and we found it hard initially to make ends meet. We did the usual go without, buy cheaper brands etc and eventually with a very closely monitored budget we managed to put away some savings (yes we did dip into it for unexpected expenses – normally vehicle expenditure that we didn’t budget for!)

Now we are back to a two income family (i started back at work) and this is helping make ends meet a little better and have some extra luxuarys but the majority of my pay packet is going straight into savings as we already know we can function on one wage.

I hope that you can find a budget that you can use to help you out – just remember to be flexible because some months will be more trickery than others.

    Good luck x

  • Using budget resources in paper form or online can help with managing a budget.

  • I’d like to see Government assistance help more on the ones that need it the most instead of the ones “hacking ” our systems . I hope you get as much as help as possible especially when resources need to go on the children as well .

  • Budgets and money need constant management as it can be a struggle.

  • Yep! Sometimes it seems like….no matter what I do, what gets cut back or put off, there’s just never any money left over
