I usually have a couple of drinks during the week, either a glass of wine after work or a couple of beers watching the football. I definitely drink more at social occasions like dinners or parties but it hurts too much the following day to go too crazy
I was never a big drinker but since having Bub I have probably had about 5 glasses of wine in 5 months. I didn’t drink when pregnant. Hubby probably has 1-2 beers over the weekend. We are pretty health conscious so don’t drink a lot.
yes I do. I have a glass or two of wine a few nights week. Been a long time since I have been tipsy or drunk- with small kids, I couldn’t think of anything worse! lol
i drink in a social setting such as a rare night out at the pub or watching state of origin. the only other time ii drink is when i am upset and stressed and in a very bad place.
i do not do it often and i know it is terrible. i am working on not doing it.
I have a glass of wine with hubby if we go for dinner, or a beer or wine if friends come over on the weekend. Most I will have is 2 drinks and that’s on a big day!! LOL
When I was young say in my twenties I would drink Friday to Sunday with friends. Since having children I have pretty much stopped all together. I don’t like drinking if its just me I find to boring so would class myself as a social drinker. I will have a few red wines when my inlaws are staying with us to be social able. We always drink Christmas eve watching the carols (again with my in-laws) is anyone seeing a trend here!, and we have a champagne breakfast Christmas morning and I guess you could say we “graze” on the wine throughout the day, it is a celebration after all. I guess for you friend if it is affecting their ability to function daily or they feel that they need to have a couple of drinks to get through the day then it might be considered a problem. If your friend only drinks say after work hours and they don’t have responsibilty for looking after children then they probably don’t think there is any issue. People I think go through stages with drinking and as long as it isn’t affect themselves, their personal relationships with a partner, family or friends or children then they are probably OK for now. If your really worried you could try taking them out of the situation where they feel the need to drink or change their routine so they are doing something different when they would normally be drinking. Its nice to see though that you are being concerned for your friend, you sound like a very caring friend
i would only drink a few drinks for a special occasion. share a 4-6 pack with the hubby lol. haven’t drunk this year and last year only a champers for v-day. I have a neighbour who drinks a carton every day or two
We drink.. Like 4-6 drinks every special occasion, and rarely ever feel even tipsy because we drink water in between, I hate the feeling of dehydration, so need to drink a can, then drink some water, then have another drink, so on..
I believe as long as you are having happily, not masking pain with drinking – then it shouldn’t matter. If there is issues that make you want to drink, then obviously those need to be fixed without alcohol. Just have a talk to your friend and see why she drinks so much.
I only drink a few times a Year on occasions because when I was younger I would get drunk every weekend and Im talking paralytic drunk. As I have gotten older I went off drinking because I can’t stand the feeling of being hungover anymore.
If she is drinking a lot everyday well then she has a problem and she should get help while she is still young because she will regret when she’s older.
None while pregnant. The guidelines keep changing for others, but I think generally if you’re having more than one or two drinks three times a week, you’re risking your health.
